How do you have TimeClockpro automatically deduct time for lunch?
Go to the Admin Menu screen by clicking the Admin button on the bottom right of the Time Clock screen. Then click the System Preferences button under the Set Up heading which will take you to the first of two screens System Preferences. The Auto Lunch Deduct option is on the second screen. To get there, click Next>> at the bottom right. The "Automatically Deduct Time (minutes) for Lunch" is the first option listed. If you allow your employees to take 30 or 60 minutes for lunch without having to clock out lunch and clock back in after lunch, select 30 or 60 minutes. TimeClockpro will automatically subtract those minutes from the employee's time when they've worked 5 hours or more.

How do I enter a PIN for Timekeepers?
Timekeepers must be entered as employees and assigned an employee PIN to enable them to view time clock entries of the employees for whom they are responsible. Their first and last “employee” name must exactly match the Timekeeper name entered in the records of the employees for whom they are Timekeeper. You can read more about this on page 10 of the User's Guide. In addition, the video available on our home page takes you through setting an employee, timekeeper and supervisor.

Why do previous payroll time clock entries continue to display when employees clock in and out?
When timecards are printed using the "Do Current Payroll", you must click "Yes" when asked if you want all the time clock entries marked as paid. If you click, "No", you'll bypass the necessary step to mark the time clock entries as paid, which keeps them from being displayed when the employee clocks in and out current. You can fix the previous time clock entries by either manually entering a payroll date in the Paid Date field of each old time clock entry on the Time Clock Entries screen or Do Current Payroll again for the previous payroll periods, clicking "Yes" when asked if you want TimeClockpro to mark the time clock entries as paid.

I am updating from version 3 to 4. Can I convert my version 3 time clock data to version 4
The formatting of the data within TimeClockpro 4 has changed significantly from version 3. Vacation, sick leave are submitted, recorded and tracked in hour & fractional hour increments, time is calculated to the nearest whole minute instead of fractional minutes, overtime is now calculated and more specific PIN specifications are required in version 4. Version 3 was comprised of 3 separate related data tables (time clock data, employee data, messages data). Version 4 includes those data tables as well as new additional tables all combined into a single data file. Because of those reasons and our commitment to ensure the trustworthiness and accuracy of the time clock data, it wasn't feasible to convert, version 3 data into version 4. However, you can keep and we encourage you to retain your TimeClockPro 3 software and it's data as an archive for reference or retrieval of payroll information in the future, should you need it.
